
Unit 7 - La estación
About the unit
Lots more revision runs through this unit, the theme of which is Travel. New language includes modes of transport and how to say mine and yours. Among the fun activities are: a Chinese Whisper; making a paper aeroplane; a Mexican Wave; and a game of I Spy. The children will also learn more about the place of Spanish as a world language.
Expectations
At the end of this unit, most children will:
- recognise and say some modes of transport
- recognise mine and yours
- express and accept gratitude
- ask what something is
- ask the colour of something
- respond correctly to directions
- say what they have (using correct form of verb)
- express love
- say where something is
- ask and answer what the time is
Some children will not have made so much progress and will:
- recognise and say they don't know
- recognise and say a selection of colours
- use the affirmative and the negative
- use numbers 0-10
- express politeness
- offer something to somebody
- ask what the time is
Some children will have progressed further and will:
- recognise and say all presented modes of transport
- recognise and say mine and yours
- use varied simple question forms with confidence
- say where they are going
