Episode 8 - La playa

'La playa' means 'the beach'. It's a hot and sunny day, so the Spanish children are off to the beach to make sandcastles. Joe and Maggie go too - and enjoy ice creams of course! This episode teaches It hurts, and the emotions Happy and Sad. Lucía, Victoriano and Ana Belén experience all the seasons in one scene - first it's raining, then the sun comes out. As it gets cold, it starts to snow. The Hace Frío (It's Cold) song will have you humming along all day!

Cinco helados - Antonio says 'five ice creams' in Spanish

Antonio is saying: 'Cinco helados' ('Five ice creams').

Speekee asks Nieve where she's going. Nieve replies: 'Voy a la playa' ('I'm going to the beach').

Then Nieve joins her friends Antonio, Marina and Lucía for a swim in the sea.

Marina's holding a Spanish flag. Speekee says: 'España' ('Spain'), and asks the viewer to repeat.

Lucía reveals her face to show she is contenta (happy). Antonio stays hidden.
